I am very excited to announce that after having had to cancel in 2020 due to COVID-19, we return to Onunco Koy in Adrasan, Turkey. Onunco Koy is a popular retreat venue among many Iyengar Yoga teachers in the UK and Europe.

This family run hotel is situated in the sleepy seaside village of Adrasan an approximate 90 minute drive from Antalya airport on Turkey’s Mediterranean coast. With spectacular views of the surrounding mountains and only a 20 minutes walk to the picturesque Adrasan beach, this is an ideal place for the yoga escape to unwind and absorb the daily practice of this week of yoga.

Guests have access to an onsite swimming pool surrounded by gardens. Rooms have en-suite bathrooms and air conditioning, with balconies overlooking the sea or the gardens and surrounding mountains.

The area around Antalya offers a wealth of archaeological treasures located in swathes of outstanding natural beauty. The coastline still contains many unspoilt beaches and stunning turquoise waters. This area is one with a rich history – it was the home of the Lycian civilisation that dates back over three thousand years. Greeks and Romans also came and left their mark here, especially the latter, who built amphitheatres, aqueducts and much else besides.

“I am overjoyed to have attended all four of Zagyoga’s Escapes and watch both students and teacher grow.
Incredible considering Monica contends with such a wide age range (47 year gap) with various niggles and an ever increasing group (18 people this year!) and it still feels like a harmonious and supportive family who both relax and progress. This year she surprised us again with her powerfully commanding yet humorous and kind teaching, as we were able to float into handstand and hold a headstand in the middle of the room – I remember the days of us all struggling to kick up the wall!
The location and facilities surpassed those of previous years and I can’t wait to return to continue to explore the area as well as my asana and pranayama practice in the well equipped studio. I can’t imagine how to better it but I know Monica will find a way.”
